Shipping

Q: What is your production time and how long does it take for my jewelry to ship?
A: Each piece is made to order in our Los Angeles studio; as a result, please allow 2–4 weeks for shipment. This excludes our “in stock” item category, which will be shipped within one week. If you need your order quicker or for a special occasion, please contact us at rebecca@veitworks.com and we’ll do our best to meet your deadline. Please note the shipping time is in addition to production time.

Q: What are your domestic shipping rates?
A: Domestic shipping is via USPS 2-Day Priority at a flat rate of $10, plus $5 for each additional item ordered. Expedited overnight shipping is available via USPS 1-Day Express at a flat rate of $30, plus $5 per each additional item ordered. You will receive an email with a tracking number when your item has been shipped.

Q: What about international shipping?
A: International shipping is via USPS Priority (6-10 business days) at flat rate of $35, plus $15 per each additional item ordered. Please note that you will be responsible for directly paying any customs duties, taxes, or fees in accordance with your county’s import policies. This is additional to the cost of shipping.

Q: Can I pick-up my order up?
A: Yes! If you are located in Los Angeles we are happy to schedule a time for you to pick up your order directly from our studio. Please contact us at rebecca@veitworks.com to arrange a pick-up.

Q: Do you offer gift wrapping?

A: All of our pieces are “gift ready” and come in a custom box tied with ribbon. If you would like us to include a gift note for the recipient please leave instructions in the “Notes” section during check out.

Jewelry

Q: Why are some pieces marked as “custom”?
A: While many of our pieces are available for purchase immediately, we have a few items that are specially made by request only. Additionally, the materials or design may be customizable in consultation with you. If you are interested in purchasing a custom piece or collaborating on an entirely new design please use the “Inquire” form on the product page or contact us at rebecca@veitworks.com for more info.

Q: How is handmade jewelry different?
A: Please note that all of our jewelry is carefully made by hand in our Los Angeles studio. Given the handcrafted nature of our work and ephemeral qualities of our materials, there may be slight variations from piece to piece.

Q: How do I know my ring size?
A: It is best to have your ring size professionally measured; most jewelry stores can help you with this. When ordering a ring you will be prompted to specify your ring size before adding your order to the cart. Please let us know if you have any questions about ring sizing before placing your order.

Q: How should I care for my new jewelry?
A: We include a small jewelry polishing cloth and instructions with each piece purchased. Keep in mind that silver will naturally tarnish—to remove, use included polishing cloth until completely black.  If needed, clean pieces gently with water and mild soap (a soft toothbrush works well) and pat dry with a soft cloth. It is best to keep jewelry (and especially pearls!) away from abrasive materials, chemicals (apply hairspray, perfume, body lotion, etc. before putting on jewelry), cleaning products, and chlorine.

Returns & Exchanges

Q: What is your return policy?
A: We want you to be happy with your purchase and offer returns within 10 days of purchase, less the original cost of shipping. Jewelry must be unworn and in its original condition and packaging. Custom works are final sale and cannot be returned or exchanged. Please contact us at rebecca@veitworks.com to initiate a return and include your name, order number, the item you want to return, and the reason for your return. Buyer is responsible for return shipping costs. After we receive your returned item a refund will be issued to the payment method used for the original purchase.

Q: My jewelry doesn’t fit as expected can it be exchanged?
A: If your item does not fit as described, please contact us at rebecca@veitworks.com to discuss re-sizing or to exchange it for another size.
